Kraut Killer: As deep as the plot to an amateur gay porn...
Hey kiddies... I have a question for all of you computer literate fellers. Is a GeForce 4 ti 4200 64mb card a good investment? Well... IS IT!? You best answer me biatch, or I will reach through this fucking computer and castrate you. BOOYA!
Also, I will be posting a lot less, partly because I can't stand half of you people, but mostly because of TWO things. My new job keeps me on me feet for eight hours, that doesn't include lunch... with lunch I'm working nine hours, and I'm working on getting into the fire department, I'm already a probationary member, I'm doing my 12 week orientation at the home department of my county and I'm going to start taking classes at the training academy soon. But that doesn't mean I'm getting a life... not by a long shot, and leaving, no, I'll still be here to be an ass to all that I can. |
YES IT IS A GOOD PICK
|
TBh you're better of buying a ti4400 as it can be easily overclocked to ti4600 speeds :)
|
Congratulations on becoming or at least partially becoming a firefighter. You have broken the spell of no life and rejection here on this board. I say all the paower to you, my friend. Good luck!

Thanks for the wellwishings ninty9. And thanks for responding to my query mafiaman and gerard. The problem with the 4400, gerard, is that the 4200 is in my pricereange, while the 4400 isn't. I wanted to get the 4400, actually I wanted to get the 4600, but if I want to keep my funds up for my car and such, I can't go splurging every chance I get, ya know.

How much more is the 4400 over the 4200? |
On pricewatch.com, there's about a $60 USD difference.

Well if you think about it this way, a ti440 that can run at ti4600 speeds is gona last longer than a ti4200 that will be lucky to reach ti4400 speeds. If it lasts ya a while then you won;t need to upgrade as soon so it saves ya a bit of money :) |
first of all congratulations KK. a firefighter is a very rewarding job, my cousin seems to think so.
it depends what you have now. if you have say...a gf3, or a radeon8500, i would wait a while to make an investment on say, the nv30 or 9700, something that will take you to the limit and last longer. although, i got a nice ti4200 for 143 dollars on http://www.newegg.com works like a dream. every game i have is nice and smooth, and this is coming from a 1 1/2 year old econoPC POS. i would say the ti4200 is more of a temporary solution that will last until you can afford the bigger and better cards and newest chips from Nvidia or ATI, depending upon which you prefer |
I refuse to answer until i recieve the picture that is promised in this poll. evil:
