Me keeping a small eye on forum from road, at a whopping 8k sec. This is not going to work. Hopefully I will be home by Friday. god I mad: hotels without high speed bandwidth. Currently in, White Haven,Penn. Do you know where that is Oldguy? At least this is a better connection then the one in Minneapolis. I could not even get a connection for over 30 sec. And yes Joe. Like my brother Hollywood said, I'm Disney bound in DEC. For a real vacation. With the family. Leaving all work back in RI for that, biggrin: |
No , didn't know where it was , had to look at a map. Haven't been up that way in a while , nice country though , lots of cute small towns. My wife and I were both born and raised in Harrisburg and will be moving back up to that area when I retire in 2 years . Been living in the Balt./DC area since 1970 and it's way too crowded here and the cost of living is too high and the traffic gets worse everyday. The kids will just have to drive up there if they want to see us. biggrin: I'm really talking about my kids , my wife's (2nd) kids live up that way now, along with 7 grandkids.
|
No shit? Where do you live Old Guy? Im in Philly.
Rude...the TS thing is working pretty good too btw ;) |
At the moment we're living in a little town named Odenton , about halfway between Baltimore and DC. Approx. 8 miles south of BWI airport which is where I work.
|
Nice little town, but the service at the hotel we stopped at could not have been any worse cry:
Just got in and need to get some sleep. I think the aa.com game server will be moving very soon. Once I get resent the server info, as I think I deleted it by mistake ed: Glad to hear that jasper, I will install in in the am or it might have to wait until Saturday. |
Moving again? gaa. . . What reason?
|
The provider xgs hosting is going with a faster backbone provider and are moving their operations from Boston ( UUNET ) to Washington DC.
My fist round checks showed a ping of 27ms down from 67ms in Boston. should be all set this weekend or by Saturday morning. |
Oh, well in that case, GO XGS! heh
|

Rude , I did a tracert to the new IP and I'm not sure what I got back , but I see a lot of 13 and 14 ms , is that good ?? Should be good , if the server is in the DC area , I'm like, right there. How did you get your figures ? Doesn't look like a tracert. |
Mine where straight pings. does the same thing but without all the extra info.
I only use tracert when, I am troubleshooting a network problem. And yes, 13 and 14 are very good. |
