this is wut u have to do to show us pictures:

first find a good ww2 pic then if u dont know the url then right click it and it will show u the url.

for example the url is this:
http://www.ww2pix.com/m1garand.jp

then u have to make it look like this:

no spaces

ok its simple but dont send porn pics.

OK, this is Hans-Ulrich Rudel, with out a doubt the best ground-attack pilot to ever live. He flew over 2500 missions in a Stuka, being shot down four times, losing his right leg in the process (but still flew after) and his kill counts enclude 2 russian Lachovin La5 fighters (in a stuka!) two russian destroyers, one heavy battle ship, over 400 russian armoured vehicles, 1000 other vehicles, and 300 artillery batteries. When all was said and done he had had one kill for every 1.4 missions. He was awarded the gold wound-badge (the equivelent of 5 purple hearts), the iron cross second class (equivelent to the bronze star), iron cross 1st class (equivelent to the silver star), the german cross in gold (equivelent to two or more silver stars), the russian front campaign medal, the 2000 mission pilots clasp (for flying over 2000 missions, he was the only man ever to do this), the pilots badge with dimonds (equivelent to the american pilot's wings but quallified to fly more than just one plane), and the Knight's cross with golden oakleaves swords and Diamonds (the equivelent of four Medals of honor).

And this is a picture if Michael Wittman (in the center) and his gunner Bathazar Woll. They are the all-time tankaces, their score was 138 kills before being killed themselves by two British Tempests which scored two hits with 500lb bombs on their Tiger durring the fighting outside Caen on June 9th 1944.

Im wondering did omaha dog 1 have those concrete bunkers that are in moh and seen in SPR. Theyn aren't in the longest day and that film was done soon after the war so a detail like that wouldn't have been missing ?

arCTic$nip3r 08-08-2001 01:42 AM

the bunkers were cleared out soon after the war and so were beach obstacles. The picture i showed there was from 1948.

P.S. If u look carefully u can see 5 circles on top of the bluff. Those circle most probably indicated the positions of the bunkers.

Some thing that you don't want to see if you are a russian:
A PzKfw V (panther) of the 5th SS Panzer Division 'Wiking' (Norwegian Vollunteers Div.) in the Cherkassy Pocket, February 1944.

How about the Topenkoft SS division?

Bürgen 08-08-2001 02:32 AM

There were two organizations that had the title 'totenkopf'. One was the 3rd SS Panzer Division (the one in the picture of the PAK), which was just a regular SS Panzer Division under the Waffen SS (the Marine Corps of the Wehrmacht). And the other one was the Totenkopf-verbande, that was under the Allgemine-SS and ran many of the Concentration camps in Poland. They were two compleatly different organizations and run by different sections of the German Government. Unfortunatly for the 3rd SS, the two have somewhat been mixed together in history books and such, giving them a bad reputation just because their Logos and names were similar.

Here is another picture of the 3rd SS Panzer Division 'totenkopf'. This is of the 5th SS Panzergrenadier Regement (a panzer division didn't just have panzers, it had one regement of panzers, two panzergrenadier or mobile infantry regements, an artillery regement, recon elements, etc). Tis was taken in the Demyansk Pocket in 1942, and it was probibly 20 degrees below zero! What Fun!
