Ok, i d/l DoD and i had to wait forever to finally get half-life back from my friend, then i got it and installed half-life and DoD didnt work, i clicked on the DoD shortcut and it took me to the game (it was the same as half-life) ten i went to multiplayer--> internet games and clicked on a DoD server and then the re was an unknown command retried after 4 tries or some shit.. and it said something like couldnt find exec josytick.cfg

my only suggestion is to delete the DoD you have now and just dl a new one...

well maybe if u scream at your computer for a while, then maybe just maybe it might work. no gaurantees though. oh yea if that doesnt work throw a brick at the moniter and show it whose boss!

No man Interested viewer is right. Your computer doesn't want you to have fun on it. Just beat the crap out of it until it works. Sometimes if you hit restart the program will run all of a sudden when it reboots. Sometimes works, if it doesn't I stongly suggest Interested viewer's method.

yea sometimes when my computer gets stuck i tend to bash it. usually works too. American components Russian components, all made in Taiwan!

Did you update Half-life (the game itself, not DoD)?

update half-life? i dunno i d/l a new DoD and it still didnt work, but when i click on DoD it takes me to half life, and when i go to multiplayer and try to filter, there is no choice of what game or map or anything, and when i do find a DoD server in the half-life mplayer it says "couldnt exec joystick.cfg" and failed after 4 retries?? http://www.alliedassault.com/ubb/confused.gif

get ver 1.1.0.7 of half life and get ver 1.3b of dod make sure u install it in the same file as half life. and just get rid of the joystick. unplug it.
