ASE will still work
Special thanks to kdja from TMT for pointing out how to do this. I copied this from his post at mohadmin.com.
This works for me but not for others. Dont know why but i got it working after hacking away at ASE all weekend. 3 Days of gamespy was enough. Simply follow the steps and then ponder why it works for some and not for others. 1 PLace this FILTERS.TXT into your ASE DIR (updated today so its fine) http://homepage.eircom.net/~abyrne/filters.txt 2 When you next load ASE Spearhead will be a FOLDER on the GAmes LIST click on it hit Custom CFG and point the EXE ONLY to The Spearhead EXE. 3 Refresh the MOHAA GAME on the LIST.(they use the same ports) 4Now the Spearhead FOLDER should now be an ICON (if not i dont know) the folder changed to an icon after i refreshed the MOHAA folder, and restarted ASE |
Thanks for the info.

Hi!
I followed avery step and yes, i got the spearhead icon etc, but i refresh and no servers are shown....and on gamespy there are. u are talking about the demo or retail? i only have the demo and it would be great to find some servers.. Thanks in advance |
Great thanks man
|
Im lost on this. COuld you give detailed pictures on how to do this?
|
i did get this to work for spearhead demo servers
problem is ASE shows up with 1 server under 200ping and in-game Gamespy browser has like 6. ASE a better program but its for finding servers. if it cant do that its fucken pointless. |
Where is this ASE directory?
|
Just use the browser that comes with the game. Its easier than GS and it shows you what games are demo and retail. I am a big fan of ASE, but until they update with there own patch, IMO its not worth trying to make it work.
