Duck and slide in Spearhead?
 
Is this a glitch? Or a cheat? I have seen people on several servers already who duck, then slide very quickly around. I mean really quickly. Is this a problem with animation where they only appear to slide for me? Or is it a hack? Not everyone does it, some do it every time, so I needed to ask.

While I'm here I have one more. Are there speed issues with this version as well? Some (especially shotgun users) again "appear" to move very fast and be able to run circles around me. Neither of these issues are ping related either. I've been pinging between 50 and 120 on the servers that I've played on so far.

The default speed is kicked up a notch. you can use filters to find servers who have the speed setting turned to normal MOH:AA .

Normal MOH:AA:S is a little faster then MOH:AA

Yah, another stupid move, you can run faster while ducking than you can standing. How lame.

Ya I saw a bunch of people on the servers last night using that duck and slide technique. Just another little move you have to learn to counter.

Whats up with all of the Demo servers? When the hell are they gonna go to the full version?

I don't think it's deliberate on the part of the developers and I'm truly hoping that it will be addressed in a patch sometime very soon!

yes.. hopefully a patch fixes it.. And you are correct about it doing that while getting shot.. Because it does that when someone falls taking damage aswell.

Yeah, there is some funky animation stuff going on in Spearhead. Im sure its not a hack (not this soon), just poor dev and qa by EA. Like that is unexpected.

We all hoped they would fix the respawn bug (among others) in MOHAA too. eek:

i've seen lots of problems with the animations, even in normal run speed sometimes the animations are for fast walk which can be rather disorientating if you're following someone!

the gravity is also fucked up, when you jump you "drift" down, or when you walk off an incline or such. if they would have released the sdk, they wouldn't have to take the damn time to fix things themselves!

I noticed the duck n' slide last night. It look like someone slipping on ice, I felt like getting a bag of salt to try and de-ice the slick spots. I also notice people going up stairs, looking like their legs were halfway embedded in the stairway.

Anybody have any info on whether or not this will be patched? It seems to be getting taken advantage of pretty consistantly. I've been going out of my way to not do it so far. . . . . but it's costing me alot of frags cry:

I hate when I shoot someone and I think they are going down but its just that damn animation.

It's not just that though. When people duck AND move around they appear to move much faster. .it's not only when they're being hit. Keep your eyes open, you'll see alot of it I'm sure.

I have good Fps in the games I play but I have noticed when you are in close combat with someone they seem to be moving really fast.
