Help From Smart People
I was at http://www.themexp.org and they have some sweet boot screens and load screens and desktop themes and a bunch of other shit. So me being the |337 cool d00d that i am, i decided to download some. Unfortunately im a fucking idiot and have no idea how to install these correctly. I know that some of u guys out there are very intelligent and kind. I read the instructions in one of the readme files but i followed them only until they were incorrect or too complicated for me. Anyone wanna help?
Anyone? oh please commom hook a brotha up oOo: |
Try this...
I use Desktop Architect... its a theme installer and organizer. You can get it on http://www.cnet.com. Im not sure what the themexp files format is, but this works for most theme packs.
Hope it helps. |
There should be a README included with EVERY one of those files. What you need to do is add something to the BOOT.INI file that is in the C:\ directory (it wont show up until you unhide shit).
Basically follow the instructions that are outlined for you in the README.html that accompanies most of the ZIP files and youll be fine. This is ONLY to change the BOOT screen though. If you want to change the theme, just put the THEME folder (for whatever it is), in the RESOURCES\THEMES folder. |
Why do you even look at the boot screen?
|
Hmmm...Yeah...Boot screen = Toilet/food break.
