It's the beta of PS. But seriously, search for tutorials on google. Personally, I tend to use tools like magnetic lasso, clone stamp, eraser, airbrush and filters like smudge stick and gaussian blur the most. You can just play around with these and learn how to use them. You probably learn better that way. Another big thing is layers. When in doubt, make a new layer so you don't mess stuff up.

I posted this before...

Here are a few pointers:

1. Layers. Use 'em. Add layers, play with transparency.
2. Use the Eraser tool (with differing opacity) to blend images together.
3. It's all about readability. Use high contrast colours for text. Nothing worse than a blue background with a slightly different shade of blue for the text.
4. Use motion blurs, swirl distortions, and brush strokes in your backgrounds (if they are of the abstract variety). It's amazing what you can do with a few splats of colour and these filters.
5. Use the layer effects like drop shadow, outer glow, emboss, etc tastefully. They can be abused very easily.
6. Have fun. No one's life depends on this. Just roll with it.
