yes there is click create game, then unclick "create on multiplayer(gamespy)"

If you are all connected on a LAN then they can just hit "Join Game" and they should be able to join your game without using Gamespy. I did it with my friends, no lag whatsoever, gawd it was so sweet......

Join LAN games instead of join Internet games.

I got it from like tons of different SAS sites I forgot where. Try typing "Special Air Service" in google and it should list you tons of sites.....
