REALISM V.S. Mods, Skins & Maps....
now i realize that soldiers like to enhance the game with all these cool mods and skins and such, but where does playing on "realism" servers come into play, with the mods....i have heard soldiers talking about bullet strength mods, frag this and that....where can i go to where it is explained or someone please give me some information on it all....
thanks USMC5thManson @ gamespy oOo: |
Basically realism mods, to my understanding, change the hit point damage of a weapon based upon it's type and where bullets impact. For example, a rifle shot to the foot will not kill your opponent like in some games, it will only cause damage. You have to hit him/her in their torso or head for a fatal shot. Also realism mods can effect movement in relation to what weapon you're using. A soldier with a bazooka will move slower than a soldier with a rifle, a soldier armed with a pistol will be able to move faster than a soldier with a shotgun, etc. Hope this clarifies it a bit.

The mods also effect reload time of wepons so if you have a bolt action it takes time before you can fire your next shot and so with the bazzookas they have to be armed before fired so have a long reload time around 9sec for each i think is most common.
numbers of nades you have and round also altered to make it more realistic as you would not be able to cart huge amounts of ordance about with you. |
