I'm going to the 3rd day of the test against England. Then i'm going to the One dayer a week later. Boo-yeah! Time to get drunk and wave aussie flags around again!

The scoring system in cricket totally baffles me. I kinda understand the fundamentals of gameplay, but I have no idea how they score the game.

...well, you hit the ball and both batsmen run from end to end as many times as possible before
fielders get the ball and hit the stumps. If they ran the length of the wicket 3 times, that's 3 runs.
The ball reaches the boundary = 4 runs
The ball goes out on the full = 6 runs
