Server - Number of players

We've got 2 dedicated servers running Moh:AA.

Each has a different IP address and each is behind a linksys router with DMZ to the local machine. The machines are located in seperate buidlings, each with its own internet account.

One server seems to always have a small steady group of people on it while the other never seems to have any. Both appear in gamespy.

Just wondering if we missed something when we setup the second server. The config files are the same but the machines are different. One is a P3 1.0 and the other is a p2 something I'll have to check the other buidling. Same amount of ram. Same OS.

IP addresses of servers are 68.101.92.157:12203 and 68.105.168.76:12203.

Any ideas?

It could simply be that the people are seeing a ping that they do not want to play with. Maybe you should upgrade the dedicated server's processor speed? Have you tried joining it yourself?

I've discovered the problem is in the speed. It's running on a p2 350 with 128MB ram.

We will work on upgrading the server for that building.

The game runs fine for a LAN though. A few of us used it the other evening. Probably won't be able to handle more that 5 or 6 players but those LAN parties tend to be more enjoyable than the ones we have with 30-50 people.

Anyhow, thanks.

Yeesh, yeah That will do it! biggrin: I'd suggest 256MB RAM and at least a P3 1Ghrz.

Well, so would I, but I meant the minimum requirements for a dedicated svr.
