I can't believe......

there isn't a thread on Bush's speech from last night yet. Our fearless leader basicly said the same thing over and over but worded differently. Kinda sounded like a babbling idiot that alluded answering any of the real questions.

Anyone else watch it?

I got too annoyed after 5 mintues to watch anymore.

If someone asked Dubya if he liked white or brown bread with his grilled cheese sandwich, he would've responded with "Saddam must disarm, and we will disarm him. The free world will not enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches as long as Saddam has weapons of mass destruction."

He sounded like a broken record.

he was a redundant fella to say the least. i watched the entire speech. he didnt say anythiung that wasnt already published in the press or said through spokesmen...im more interested in what his reasons were for holding the press conference. since he really didnt say anything interesting, i am curious about his motive for holding the meeting...any speculative opinions welcomed oOo: eek:

I'm not real sure what his hurry is. The sooner the war is over the sooner the country figures out that he has no grasp of domestic policy, a la bush senior.

Its easy to beat the anti-Bush drum, he was thrust into the position he is in and I applaude his efforts. If Al Bore was in office we would be sending tulips to Afganistan and Iraq. I suppoort MY president 100%. Time to bomb Iraq!!!!! F the French- Germans and any other pussies out there.

It is also just as easy to beat the pro bush drum. I want to hear more about fuzzy math and where the national debt is going to be at the end of his term (note the term is singular).

It was just a public way to re-enforce everything else he had said. A final warning I guess.

wintersforge 03-07-2003 10:08 AM

I agree he was thrust into a tight spot, especially with sep. 11th. that set a new precedance for how we handle "possible" threats. I just hope that all those serving our country over in the desert come home safe. i just feel like Bush hasnt been acocuntable, and answered all the obvious and pertinent questions posed to him last night. I told my wife i wouldnt want Bush's job. But if we go in to Iraq and find nothing......

newbieassulted 03-07-2003 10:08 AM

but theres been like... 5 final warnings o_O

I think so. He has probably been saying the same thing in private to differnet countries for the last 6 months. He sure didnt seem like he wanted to be there last night, did he?

MajorWoody 03-07-2003 10:19 AM

I wonder what he says about the human shield protestors that are in Iraq behind closed doors. Any normal person would call them fucking idiots but I wonder what the pres would say

wintersforge 03-07-2003 10:31 AM

yeah he loooked to be in a bad spot IMO. kinda stumbled for words when answering in the broadest sense, all the questions that we want answers to.
