Jesus Christ,
We unconditionally support America in it's overseas ventures, and the thanks our soldiers get is a bunch of crappily put together sterotypical slang words? What a sad fucking world we live in... I'm sure you're all having a nice little laugh, but damn... watch your fucking mouthes... Reactions like this make me wonder, WTF is John Howard thinking? |
lol sori i was just quoting dumb and dumber (i know someone will quote this and say something ghey about it) and im just trying to catch up to joes post count in honor of strik0r evil: oOo:

I just wanted to get an idea how many troops they are sending and at what capacity they will be involved in.
|
I'd personally love to see the Crocodile Hunter tackle Saddam Hussein. That would be classic. biggrin:
Australia is sending 2000+ personnel, including Army, Navy and AirForce. This might seem small to some, but that is a large deployment for us considering the size of our Military and our commitment to East Timor. ARMY: 150 SASR (Special Air Service Regiment) Troopers (thats 1 Squadron) Tasked with Special Reconnaissance (SR) and Sensitive Site Exploitation (SSE, basically "Cordon and Search"), and other similar roles they participated in while deployed in Afghanistan. 50+ 4RAR (4th Royal Australian Regiment) Commando's. They are tasked with CSAR (Combat Search and Rescue) and QRF (Quick Reaction Force). They will basically be backing up the SASR if those boys get in the shit. A Troop (Not exactly sure how many) from the recently established Incident Response Regiment (CBR - Chemical Biological Radiological). Tasked with Specialist Advice on CBR incidents should they occur, and deactivation/decontamination of ADF (Australian Defence Force) and Coalition assets should CBR incidents occur. 3 CH-47D Chinooks from the 5th Aviation Regiment. Along with support personnel. And 350 Regular Infantry Soldiers. NAVY: 4 Ships including Guided Missile Frigates and a "Headquarters Afloat" Command ship (HMAS Kanimbla). CDT3 (Clearance Diving Team 3) Tasked with mine clearance and EOD tasks. (These guys train with Navy SEALs and are capable of handling themselves in a firefight). The ships are supported by S-70B2 Sea Hawks (similar airframe to the Black Hawk) and a Sea King Mk 50. Army RBS-70 Surface to Air Missile crews are deployed on all ships. AirForce: 14 F/A 18A Hornets 2 C-130H and 1 C-130J Hercules are tasked with Airlift missions. 2 AP-3 Orions are also in the task force. They will carry out similar operations to that of the far more technically advanced US AEWACS Aircraft. _________________ Basically that sums up our deployment. 2000+ personnel. There may or may not be more or less as far as the numbers of units I detailed above. One last thing, show us some fucking respect, like we obviously are showing to you by sending our people over there. |
Thanks for answering the question. And thanks for the help.
