If you take out your video-card, how are you going to install windows.

And is this is copy or an original of Windows XP.

And I see F0R is a spam-b00n.

If you can take your 3d card out, then do it - i'm assuming you have onboard video or something.

If you have anything else installed in your comp, I'd take that out too. e.g. sound card, PCI cards (lLAN card etc), cd-burner, unattach your modem and anything else thats not vital for the system operating.

Best to just start with your mouse, keyboard and monitor plugged into your comp. With your HDD, CD drive and disk drive plugged in also.

Start your comp with the CD booting first and then boot from your XP cd.
It shouldn't matter if you have a copy of XP or not, just as long as it works. You were using it before, right?

Make sure you are choosing the right options in the setup. Some options you choose may not be compatible with your system.

Format (and partition your HDD if you want) and you're set to go.

Hopefully you'll have more success this time. Good luck mate freak:

P.S. I love your sig pic ---> 1337 biggrin:

"redid" is code for format

I guess he formated successfully and is trying to install winXP again, and the bastard freezes at that point. I've had it before too. I unplugged everything I could and finally the scumbag worked. biggrin:

Oh just an extra note, your RAM may have something to do with it too - just have one stick of RAM in there during the install.

sorry to spam your thread

Actually, Lop.com is not a virus. It is spyware. Next time you have it, try Spybot[/url:be2c6]. It can fix it. No need to format your drive.

I disagre, its a royal pain in the ass, but there is nothing quite like a fresh windows install. Windows has a nasty habit of slowly destroying itself and your pc's performance over time.
