i think you should choose battlefield 1942 first of all if you already haven't got it :)
i'm not too much into the rts genre so generals is not for me....
Vietcong is ok, but the multiplayer demo servers is so damn laggy and that map is pretty boring.
Ut 2003 is ok, but bf is better, i think ut 2003 is a little too fast for me :)
Game of choice: Battlefield 1942!!!! :D

None of the above, all games are pretty boring to me now. I've heard VC has a much better netcode now than the demo, so you might want to try that out as well. The BF1942 demo was terrible too, but now you hear everybody saying how good it is.

I don't think Battlefield is that bad at all. even though the 1.3 patch screwed it over for a while, the gameplay is great.
