Fileplanet.com subscribers: Dedicated server
 

For those of you whom haven't seen, Fileplanet now has a dedicated server provided for the subscribers. Basically, this means no more 75 - 95kbps downloads! I just downloaded DoD 1.0 at a steady speed of 300kbps! I figured I'd share the wealth. I don't believe non-subscribers can use it, but I dunno for sure.

i dont have halflife, but can you download the full version of DOD or just the mod?

just wondering, or do you have to buy it?

You need to buy the standalone, or you need to buy HL and download DoD. Now, wouldn't it be smart just to buy HL for like 8 bucks, then just download DoD, rather than pay 20 - 30 for just ONE game, when you can get access to a bunch of others for eight?

Actually, DoD will probably be like CS, still able to have mods and stuff, but it would still be a lot more consumer wise to just buy HL in one of the jewel cases at Wal-Mart for $10
