I run Windows 2000 and whenever I try to save a pic it ALWAYS saves it as bmp.

Ok, if I goto options and delete my Temp Interenet files. i can save a jpg, but for like only 5 or 10 mins

Delete all cookies, every single Internet Temp File. Then it should work fine.. C:\Windows\Temp

I don't know what to tell you, it should work perfectly fine after you Delete all the Temporary Internet Files. Clean out your pictures folder, also.

Dump 2000 and get XP. That'll fix things.

Well, if thats the case, d/load "Irfanview" and use that to rename extensions. It's a simple prog.

i have the same problem (i use winXP pro)

i can't even save a .gif file because it saves as .bmp, the image isn't animated then

if i cleared out all my temp stuff and cookies, might it harm something else?
