so i downloaded it and tried connecting to a server and everytime its initialilizing and downloading it just quits to the desktop.....wtf?

Change the graphics to Open GL that should do it.

Negatory there Miller. Some servers aren't Valve Auth'd, and in order to play retail a server must be authd. Try our server, if it isn't full. The name is GFF 1 v 1.0.

is there some way i can enable a message to appear when i shoot someone that says how much damage im doing?

that be a server side mod simo, haven't seen it in 1.0

look at the top right when you kill someone.

i`ve seen it in some servers...it tells me like 3 hits
83 damage...and the person i killed in the middle of the screen its a server mod...dont know which one though..and yes i`ve seen some in 1.0 ed:
