Amway, pyramid schemes....... and Nazism. ACHTUNG
 

The other day at work, I was approached by a customer who said he was impressed by my style of interacting with people. So we got to talking and he told me that he was running a business of his own and that he'd like me to consider working for him. What would i do for him? He wouldn't really say, but he asked that we get together to have a sit-down talk next week. We were talking for about 10 mins before he finally left.

When my shift was over, an employee from another store (I work in a mall), Dan, says that he saw that man talking to me. Dan says that he was pressured to work for him too, but it turned out to be nothing more than a pyramid scheme.

There was a similar scheme here in Canada.

A company called Cocooning Club offered something similar: usually, I
never would have tried it, but we were some of the very first people that
got a spot up there so the odds of making money were on our side. It
was shut down very fast...

I'm confused as hell, I know nothing about buisness......could somone simplify it for me?

You can actually make money at amway if you dont mind acting like a used car salesman to all you friends, family and random people off the street. I got suckered into going to one of those meetings before along with a friend. We specifically asked if it was amway and we were told no. Me and the guy I went with got up to leave as soon as we heard it was amway. The speaker started to pitch a fit about it and said it was rude. Our basic response was that it was pretty damn rude to lied to to get us to attend. That started a chain reaction and about half of the room left 5 minutes into this guys hour long sales pitch.

Stay away. I've heard it's nothing but a friggin' headache.

amway is indeed a successful business, my parents stayed at the Amway Hotel the other night which is a 4 star hotel in Grand Rapids. howeve,r if you wish to be successful in a business like that, you must be persistent and have patience
