Iron Light - A tune by me, have a listen
 

I've just finished Iron Light, my first tune written on the PC.

I actually wrote this song 9 years ago on my Amiga, using an old classic called "Protracker".

Using Renoise I have re-written it and it's a considerable upgrade.

This isn't the final version (plus there will be remixes) and it's going to be included in a PC shooter game that I and a friend of mine are designing (more on that at a later date biggrin: )

It's a long song, 7 mins and 40 secs (7.03 MB file) so 56kers will have to be patient if they want to listen to it.

Doh, forgot to add... it's Trance, so it won't appeal to everyone's tastes.

As I said, not to everyone's tastes.

I was hoping more for feedback on the quality of the music, objective critisism, rather than the "Trance sucks" approach.

I also write rock/indie music but not on my PC (well not yet, anyway). I was in a band for a while but the direction of my life took me away from that and now I don't have the time for that kind of thing.

I may have the equipment soon to record digital quality guitar audio, and vocals would not be a problem considering my girlfriend has one of the best voices I've heard.

not a trance fan, but it sounded good

it sounds decent

I felt it missed a bit of timing and structure on certain piano segments but
I am very hard to please when it comes to patterns in music. It is easy for
me to imagine this song in a game... a shoot-em-up of some sort (Gradius
comes to mind). Still, I appreciate the effort that went into making the song
bro: I will find a way / site to upload my five personal creations and let you
guys give me feedback on them as well! Again, good song!

My songs are online: please take the time to listen to one or two of them
and leave feedback! I recommend Sound Paradise and the remixed Alpha
and Omega. Actually, I say listen to them all!
