pattern tuts

does any1 have any pattern tuturials i can use. Whether from you or a website??

1. Create new file.
2. Make a single sample piece (that can be repeated without weird side effects) of the pattern in the new file.
3. Select the sample.
4. Edit > Define pattern.
5. Use pattern.

i know how to make em, just not different kinds like dots and checkers and shit

Well, that's where creativity comes in. If you want dots, make a dot for the sample and it will make a dot pattern.
