motherboards?
is a Intel 845 motherboard mother board any good?
im looking for a new motherboard for a P4 2.4ghz cpu and be able to hold at least a gig of DDR ram and it has to be in the price range of $250 (canadian) so about $150 american can someone point me in the right direction please |

I can find you a much cheaper price.
The 845 Chipset generally, is for 400mhz FSB P4 Processors. Unless its a variant (example: 845E, 845G, etc. ..) the board will only support 400mhz FSB P4 processors. Find out if the P4 you have is a 400mhz FSB chip, or 533. Then, I'll get you a good price for a good board. Intel makes good boards, but I'd much rather buy Asus, Gigabyte, or Soltek. |
