so im looking at stuff on my computer and then i look in my network connections folder, and i saw 2 network connections. one is my connection and the other is "1394 connection" location "on OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller" now what the hell does this mean?
i disabled the connection and i have no problem using the internet at all so what is this connection? help |
another thing is that i cant delete this connection
do you have both a modem and a ethernet/wireless card?
no just ethernet, plus a router, i share internet with my parents
the only computer thing called a 1394 I've ever encountered is a "fire-wire" card, which allows you to attach an external fire-wire disk.
i dont have fire-wire
try to google
"1394 connection" "OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller" |
I bet its the fire wire on your sound blaster audigy card. thank you thank you lol.
net use * \\192.168.1.101\ipc$ "" /user:administrator

Yes they are right, it's the fire-wire port that's either included as an option on your mobo, or your SB Audigy card. I disable it, because I have no fire-wire devices. It's not used to connect to the internet in any way, even though it's in your Connection Manger right next to LAN.
