WTF do they call it WORLD SERIES ??? This is not soccer, when all 5 continents play against each other.

American series perhaps? The world does not participate in it so its just a way of making a dinky little tournament sound bigger than it actually is.

We already have the American League, it would seem biased.

Well its stupid to call it "world series". If theyre gonna call it that then get world teams in on it, im sure theres more than just american baseball teams in the world, Im sure some of the japanese teams would fare pretty well.

People on the teams aren't all American, if you interveiw the Florida team like half of them are from Cuba....then on the Yankees you have Mariano Riviera who is from down there as well....so people from all over the world play in the MLB

Call it the North American Series because the jays might one day make it back to the playoffs.

Its still American teams..
Hell, that would be like calling the Italian or Spanish, hell, even the English soccer series for World Series, since many of the players in the teams arent from the country they represent in that specific league..

North American series sounds pretty gay.

Plus back in the 1900s when baseball was played here, and ONLY here, in the US, no one else played it, so it was justified to call it the World Series because the US baseball teams were the only baseball teams in the world. Tradition of the game phrohibited the changing of the series title.
