compared to the single player demo. any unusually slowdowns? i had to put text detail on medium for it to run perfect shadows off, and no vol. smoke, all else on max.

i have:
1.1ghz athlon
256sdram
geforce 2 gts 32meg
cable
win me

anyone with close to my specs? hows it run? thats all i wanna know, hows it run!? Thank you.

Fuzzychops 01-22-2002 01:28 AM

Actually the full version runs much better. I see you having no prob running at high settings either. Hope I helped.

usually the MP demo ran more smoother for people than the SP demo, reason being that most of the player animations were left out for MP + the SP demo is OLD

I find Omaha and the Bridge MP maps chugs at the high settings that I run. But other maps seem to run pretty smooth including Hunt map which runs smoother in the retail then the demo version

Also, what are the biggest differences (if any) between the demos and the full. More weapons?? Options??? Tell me, tell me!

could you please post your computer capacity

Cerberus-WG 01-22-2002 01:58 AM

I have a

Duron 950 MHz
256 MB PC 133 RAM
GeForce2 MX 400

Ran fine. Too bad the SP scenario blows chunks.

Trench 01-22-2002 01:58 AM

I usually leave games at 16bit when i can for performance. the ONLY difference I could tell with my eyes from 16 and 32 bitt in MOH:AA was the smoke textures, and on 16bit everything ran much smoother, now thats the SP demo i'm talking about here, I have no proof of how the retail game runs

I have
1ghtz Athlon Tbird
512 Megs of memory
Geforce3 card

The textures at highest look amazing and better then the MP demos. Because of the texture compression support the 1024x1024 textures look 3dish. The cracks and marks on the walls look more defined and models look very sharp.

Game runs smooth as silk and the graphics are beautiful.

Pentium III 800Mhz
100Mhz SDRAM, 1Gb
30Gb Maxtor 5400 RPM Hard Drive
Soundblaster AWE 64 Gold ISA sound card
GeForce II 400 MX AGP video card w/32Mb VRAM
Microsoft Windows XP Professional OS

...now if I could just figure out how to get past that "slaugherfest" Omaha Beach mission. ...sigh.

how does the american ranger player model look like in mp?

First Man Down 01-22-2002 04:31 AM

Well, it doesn't have legs, so it can't run at all!

Ha ha ha!

Oh, God, I've been playing MP too long...

divisionbell77 01-22-2002 04:46 AM

Athlon 900
512 meds ram
geforce 3 ti500

The game gets very choppy running at 1280 with everything on.

IUt should run smooth as silk. Liek all the other Q3A engine games.

w1z 01-22-2002 05:03 AM

The only time I dropped low on FPS (do a "fps 1" in console) was in the snowy missions where I dropped down to 30-50 fps. I have the following:

AMD XP 1600+
512 MB PC2400 DDR
GF2 Ultra 64 MB
KT266A chipset mobo
