Pre-Revolutions thoughts and theory discussion *SPOILERS*

I can only hope that Zion is another level of the Matrix: I abhor the idea that Neo has super ESP abilities in the real world.

For the nay-sayers: a multi-leveled Matrix is an obvious assumption, but if I were an A.I., I would definitely include it as a safeguard. Besides, the MWAM theory doesn't exclude the possibility of a prior, all-out war between the machines and humans in the real world: the multi-leveled design is just another way of tightening the grip around our necks.

... and all this is assuming we humans didn't actually destroy the machines from the get-go through EMP weapons. How much ***king weaker could the machines be ? It's such an important vulnerability that I fail to see how humans would not have exploited it to meet their goal of destroying the AIs.

... and that, my friends, is assuming such a thing as a war between AI and man has actually occured. I wouldn't be surprised to see an ExistenZ style cop-out.

In any case, "rest Neo... the answers are coming."

What are your thoughts on what will happen in Revolutions ?

I understand 4 words in Slois post.

Well, from the previews I recall the Oracle saying that Neo is stuck in a place between the real world and the matrix. I believe this may have something to do with Neo being able to use his EMP abilities in Zion.

I think I get to see Revolutions Monday night. If not I should see it Tues. I'm pretty sure i'll see it before it opens, like I did with Reloaded.

LOL, hmm
I think Neo is only partially aware of his own existence, probably another matrix in the matrix, i guess that would make it 1 matrix? oOo:
Maybe the matrix stoped the machines that were gonna attack Neo because it realized it needed Neo because agent Smith was gonna mes everything up? So the machines ask Neo to take care of Smith? I dunno i really have no clue eek:

what ever it is. its not a dream or a drug trip. We've been told its nothign like that. But what if its a kid writing a story or playing a game, maybe is a movie inside of a movie. think outside of the box we call "the screen"

revolutuions so soon.

this wedsnday

SoLiDUS 11-02-2003 09:55 PM

I agree, but that would be a cop-out. For example: in the end, we could see
Neo wake up to the ticking sound of characters on his computer monitor:

Wake up Neo...

The Matrix has you...

Knock knock.

oOo:

And his friend comes in with this cool, wireless gizmo called a Matrix hacker
tool. :P

Maybe Neo dies. ed:

Reviews have been coming in, and it has been mentioned that their isn't a Matrix within a Matrix. the logical assumption is that New has brought a part of Agent Smith with him into the real world, much like Smith did with Neo when he destroyed Smith in the first movie.

Airborne Butters 11-02-2003 10:40 PM

I predict it to own lol.

The reviews that are online right now are bullocks. If they aren't, the movie
has taken a turn for the worse: by taking the other way (going against all of
the logical assumptions to provide a "Fresh" ending) they make themselves
even more predictable. It would be ironic...

I don't like the idea that Mr. Anderson suddenly possesses ESP in the real
world because a part of Mr. Smith's code has integrated itself to his. Also, I
really don't like the idea that Smith could just wipe Bane's consciousness to
replace it with his in the, once again, real world. I strongly suspect the Zion
world to be another section/level of the Matrix.

If not, I hope they all die biggrin:

This is what I gathered from the trailers. Neo is trapped between both the Matrix and the reality world. Because of this, his powers have come through from the Matrix to the real world, and have made him much like the machines: A weapon of unstoppable power. (Who can also shoot EMP's out of his arse.)

Anyways, I cant say exactly what I expect, but I hope its good.

Here's the rub: assuming he's in Mobil Avenue the moment he falls
unconscious after triggering his own EMP, this implies that quite a big
connection exists between the Matrix, the buffer world (Mobil Avenue)
and the Zion world. Instantly, one should come to the conclusion that
it's all a big VR world: the idea that Mr. Zero has a wireless connection
to the Matrix while in the real world, with ESP (batteries not included),
is even more farfetched than my earlier prediction about simply being
ESP in the desert of the real.

I suppose he wakes up from the coma and THEN, at some point in the
movie, falls into the buffer world: this would save them from the shit I
wrote above...
