MP3s eating up my Hard drive space :/

Need advice!!!

I currently have a 40Gb Hard Drive and its jam packed with MP3s(4000-ish).
I only have around 3Gb space left and I'd love to store the MP3s somewhere else, preferrably externally although if theres another way I'm open to it.
They're mostly full albums and not wanting to burn them all to CD I was wondering if there was an easier way to store them.
I mean, I could buy plenty of those Data disks and export them to those although I'd be moving 4000 of the fuckers and those discs hold about 800mb....
I only have a regular CD burner, no DVD burners, etc.

I've also seen those portable hard drive type things and various others but ideally I don't really want to spend anything if thats possible....

oOo:
any ideas?

buy more memory for your p.c , get a 2nd harddrive, i have two, one for p.c regular stuff, and the other for music/games/movies.

are those seperate hard drives?

I just hate the fact that it would only take 2 clicks to delete all of my mp3s, I need a way of protecting them from accidental deletions or other mistakes like that.

However, my main priority is to free up my disk space and I don't know where to put all of my MP3s

holy fuck, do you download every song known to man?

just burn them. You can fit like 150 mp3's on one CD. Or you can go out and buy those 2GB CD's or however big they are, but they're more expensive.

i have two 80gig drives, one is full of music and movies, and the other is just for anything, i want to put in a third drive put i have no room in my tower unless if i put the harddrive on the bottom of the case.
thank god, i bought an ipod so i can keep some of my music on that

harddrives are getting pretty cheap too, so go out and buy one

You can buy external hard drives, they just sit in a special case.
