I am wondering what everyone thinks about the K98 in the game. I feel like I am the only one that uses it because I have VERY rarely seen anyone with it. In close I like to switch to the pistol, but about 40yds and out this gun can usually get 'em in one shot. Anyone have any tips or tactics they use with this gun? I figured it could be an interesting post rather the other garbage floating around.

I like it. It's my favorite AXIS gun.

In DoD, I own with the Mauser, better than even the M1 Garand.

In MoH:AA, I'd rather use a pistol.

I think DoD has the time between each shot a little bit shorter than MoH:AA does, and its this brief amount of time that determines whether or not I like it.

Simply put, in MoH:AA, I will only use this gun if I am bored as shit and don't care about dying a lot, OR if I accidently pick it.

mauser = head shot weapon extrodinaire.

its not great close range its rate of fire is low but he accuracy and power are awsome.

K98 and the Luger are the only ones I use in MP. Love the Mauser cuz it actually gives you the satisfaction when you kill someone.

the mauser is also my favorite axis gun, i like it both ways, it does get a little annoying in close range though

man u guys goan get ur skills down using the M1 u use 8 rounds to take me down while i shoot u ounce.

I almost always use the mauser on axis side. use it when the enemy is away, then when they get close, I drop it and find someones mg.

If the mauser was better then, why did we win?!

I own both of these rifles and-
If I run into a bunker full of amerikaners with a mauser, then i'm dead.. one round off, and I'm dead, but If I enter a bunker full of germans with an m-1.. then.. i'm still dead.... but.. I'll kill at least a couple due to SEMI AUTOMATIC FIRE

I should hope you can hit something at 40yds with the pistol, and 500 with the mauser. its accurate to 500 with iron sights, 950 with scope, at least.
