cutting stuff from a movie?

anyone know of a good program i could use to cut some of a movie out? its just too big to fit on a CD for me to burn so i was going to cut the end & opening credits off. any ideas?

allright iv tried in windows movie maker, but it limits what i can do as far as quality is concerned. its got to be 300mb & crappy or the next setting is 1500mb pain in the ass

Intervideo winDVD can capture screens from movies but not clips.
