Pyro 06-05-2004 02:52 PM

yeah well..it could of been prevented is all most people are saying.

Chappy 06-05-2004 03:31 PM

doesnt matter if it could have been prevented, pointing fingers isnt going to change that it happened and finding a scapegoat (maybe other than Tenet) is just going to polarize us even more because it will most certainly be political

as to why this is just coming out now? election year

Hindsight is 20/20.

If I came to you and told you I was the second coming of Christ, I'm sure you'd repent right away, right? This guys walks in and says, "Hi, I'm a terrorist." Thanks to American law, he can't be held unless they can prove or corroborate his story. Even if they had held him, he could have simply sued the government for wrongful arrest and claimed he made the confession because he was insane and therefore believed it, which is why he passed the polygraph.

Of course CNN is run by Liberals, and since they are such an unbiased news agency, I'm sure that the omittance of such relevant facts was purely unintentional.

Fox News is the worst news station I've ever watched.

What relevant facts did they leave out?

Madmartagen 06-05-2004 04:36 PM

Its just bullshit, it comes out because the election is coming up. The Feds get soooo many reports on just about everything, they almost all look the same. Im sure they checked thousands of leads, but maybe not this one. The fact is the only people to blame for 9/11 is the fuckers hiding in caves and safehouses in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

EDIT:: I realized why this might have been unclear. If the government acted on every tip they ever received regarding terror.. well, it isn't possible. They receive more tips in a day than there are agents to investigate them. The fact that he was let go shows that they could never corroborate the story.
