What exactly do they mean by anti-war films?

simplest terms.......

the author of the movie generally shows the dark side/non hollywood-glorified side. usually the anti-hero is a loner turned from a free thinker into a killing machine ala Pvt. Pyle in Full Metal Jacket.

among others are examples of antiwar (yes, i hate putting Kelly's on there but it's stance of War=Greed kinda forced the hand)

No Man's Land is wicked, awesome low budget movie.

i'd also post midnight clear if it wasn't such an awful movie and The Big Red One plays both sides as you can see in the opening and closing sceens with
Lee (supreme tough guy eternal) Marvin.
