Winzip Problem
Ok, this is really pissing me off. Let me explain:
So I go to try some skinning for the first time, and I open up pak1.pk3 with Winzip, and this is what pops up: (sorry for image quality) ^As you can see, Winzip is asking me if I want to install a "Screen Saver"...As far as I know, this isn't supposed to happen when I do this, plus I don't think there's any Screen Savers in this pak... rolleyes: Anyways, I tried continuing by clicking next, and this is what happens: ^Great. Again, I click next: ^More screenshot shite. ^Now, it ends there. I've tried Unzipping it, but of course that's not what I want, since I can't Unzip them to a specified folder, it only Unzips to the Windows Screenshot folder, one at a time, and I can't change any of that. So the final questions remains unanswered: How do I get it to stop asking me if I want to Unzip a Screen Saver, shown back in Screenshot #1? Is there an update for Winzip that can prevent this? Is there a better program, that works like Winzip, that I can DL for free? Or at least use for the same purpose? Please Help. beer: |
Have you tried changing the files extension to .zip. Then unzip the file, make your mod, zip the file back up and change the extension back to .pk3.

winzip is reading those .scr files as screensavers. use pakscape to open and make pk3 files

or use classic mode for winzip, dont use the wizard
