Grunge try

Mediocre. Good attempt.

I think it just needs more of something. Make it taller and add a central focus (Maybe a chalk drawing of a dead man or something to that effect...just and example), but keep the general theme and I think it will look much better.

Looks horrible IMO

Its just a bunch of random stuff, or if there is something, i cant see it. The texts stroke is too strong, and makes it appear low quality

Grunge, just like every other sig, needs a central focus, or a theme. Just random crap is abstract, and abstract has always looked like shit to me.

ok if it doesn't have a central focus its grunge. and if its abstract its just random crap.

I dont really like it, seems like you made text the central focus... which would be ok if it was good.

not that bad tho, good for first grunge try.

its a bunch of soldiers dude, look at it.

I saw the soldiers.. but theyre darkened.. and hard to see, and the text is giant and draws the eye

thus "central focus".... soldiers just seem to be a background.. thats why i dont like , they should be the focus.

WTF? That doesn't matter...at all. It's still the most prominent object in the sig, and you cant just "ignore" huge glaring text.

James is right, here is a good example of effective grunge:

You can see a clear and present image dispite massive brush work , and even though the text is distorted it is easy to read and very clear.

I have always regarded "grunge" as heavy brushing to produce a worn and tatered look, not just a mess with no direction..... just my take on it anyway.

And Daffy is the long lost object of Merlins affection.
