First work I've ever done in Photoshop, decided to try my hand at it last night. I have a thing for long black hair on girls, so I decided to theme that along with the ocean, and cold.

Like I said on AAN, for a 1st effort, it's pretty durn good.

To make it better, try upping the contrast on the chick's face...the source pic sems a little washed out.

Thanks, Zone. I tweaked with the contrast a bit, but turning up the contrast any amount made her face like a big glowing ball of white. It's just the way the photograph was taken, and I think the pale image on the left fits in decently. It does look much better now that I've sharpened that one a bit and slightly blurred the ocean, meshes nicer.

I just arsed around with the contrast a bit on everything but her face and added a 2px border...

It's not much different than the original, however.

I definately like the texturing of the hair better in what you did with it, more soft I think. Thanks man!
