CS:Source help
 

Everytime I start a server, it crashes to the desktop. I'm currently running with a geforce 4 mx 4200, 256 mb RAM and a 2.4 ghz p4. Anyone else running into these same issues?


EDIT: I also scored a 74.4 on the stress test. for the few seconds I was able to play, I had very little slow down. It a few seconds into the game when I have trouble.

Until they fix the unbearable lag issues, you don't need to worry about playing. TRUST ME... mwah:

geforce mx 4200 ? you mean mx 420 ? or ti 4200 ? (mx 420 = prob would not handle it).

The lag issues isn't a problem with the game, My half-life clan runs a 40 person server and at any given time the pings are all below 100. Most of the servers you see are people running servers off their computers.

Uh, no. I play on well known servers and even they give bad lag (by lag, it's
understood that I mean complete freezing - when you regain control, you're
most likely dead). A lot of people I know get the same issue. If you don't have
it, you're a very lucky guy...

If it's not too much to ask, slip me some IPs of servers you play on.

I have the same error, its very common if you loook at steam's forum. However there isn't a fix for it yet.

Me and My clanmates were also surprised, but trust me, it's the servers and not the game.

I've tried it again early this morning and haven't gotten the lag problem I
did last night. Even though there are still some minor issues, it's playable.

It's been playing fine for me, no lag or anything. I get the odd crash now and then (especially when connecting to a server) but that's to be expected I guess.
