Networking question
I have my new computer all set up, and now i'm looking to setup a wireless lan between my new computer and old computer.
My new computer has the ASUS A8V motherboard which comes with the WiFi-g wireless LAN I have it installed, but I haven't set up the wireless software because my other computer isn't ready yet. What I need to know is what network card I need in my other computer to receive the wireless info beaming back and fourth. All I am looking to do between the two computers is share internet and a printer. Thats all. The manual doens't really do a good job explaining what you need in the other machine. All it says is: "other computers must have installed IEEE 802.11b/g wireless LAN adapter" So obviously I need one of those. Can anyone direct me to one that would be compatible? I'd appreciate it. Thank you. |
Get a wireless ethernet card for the other pc... it can be a "g" or "b" card...
Linksys is fine too. Make sure the card is on the same channel and SSID... |
Is that the P4P800 Deluxe?
|
No, it's the A8V Deluxe, for an AMD 64.
I'll go take a look at future shop or some place next week and see what they have there. |
