Valve vs vivendi (lawsuit)
http://www.gamespot.com/news/2004/09/20 ... 07712.html
oOo: Developer sueing a publisher, said publisher has the developers game in for testing before approving it for duplication. Anyone else smelling another delay here? Can almost bet the game goes gold, gets sent to duplication factories, factories simaltaniously explode destroying the master discs, at the same time valve's network crashes destroying the backups of the game. With the drama of halflife 2's development that scenario probably won't be far from the truth. |

[quote:97085]In court filings, attorneys for Sierra/VUG allege that Gabe Newell, founder and managing director of Valve, conveyed "misleading half-truth[s]" to them, and that various ensuing conversations between Newell and Sierra/VUG executives were colored with "misrepresentations and concealment."
