I've had to pay upwards of 2.10 for some time now... When you pay 2.50 a gallon for a month give me a call.

From listening to market reports and other "pseudo indicators" ie Market Place on NPR its a smattering of issues such as possible conflicts in Nigeria, Supply and Demand (it doesnt matter how much oil OPEC over produces there is only so much the refineries can turn around; plus the transit time to the various refineries), and Russian oil markets (see Yukos etc.)...Also keep in mind it has become colder and prices usually edge up as more oil products are consumed for heating etc.

Hopefully with trade embargos lifted off of Libya in the past few weeks they will be able to get their oil and refined goods to market. Might see a dip and leveling out soon.... ban:

the us only wants the oil channels open in the gulf. if the us govt didnt subsidize oil industry, gas prices would be AT LEAST 5/gal
