Ok, when I bought this laptop it came with a AMD Athlon 64 2800+ CPU and I thought it was like 2.0 or 2.2 ghz... when POST starts up I see 512mb of ram and then I see 800hmz!!! WTF dont tell me AMD 2800 cpu is 800 mhz

help a retard out please

nope... the 64 bit runs at 1.8 but the 3200 runs at 2.0

You just said it yourself: a LAPTOP. They usually conserve battery life by
running at half the processor speed unless a CPU intensive application is
started. Try plugging it in and checking your speeds. Also, verify that the
"Cool N Quiet" shit is not running if your laptop features it...
