[quote:2bff1]Blade Trinity is a wonderful movie but takes a different path then the first two. The director throws in tons of humor in this one which directs attention from what the first two had: bloody vampire slayings. If you are looking for a good action flick with humor thrown in, Blade Trinity is definitly for you. But if you want the hard as steel, Wesley Snipes kick ass, kind of movie that Blade is known for, hit up blockbuster.[/quote:2bff1] [quote:2bff1]Mr. Snipes - and his computer generated stuntman - kill, maim, and mangle with abandon. His sidekicks, Jessica Biel (looking rather fetching) and Ryan Reynolds (sporting a kewl goatee) jump and skitter about, adding nothing to the mix. Like 'Blade 2,' this film is violent, videogame-inspired eye candy. As far as it goes - and if you like sci-fi/vampire movies - 'Blade 3' works. But, it's certainly not as evocative as "The Lost Boys," and not as good a flick as the original 'Blade.'[/quote:2bff1] |
i saw it and really liked the soundtrack and the action itself, its def not better than the first imo but does have its own thing that I do like, I would def say its worth the money to go see, and b/c some drunk kid caused a scene during it, I get to go back for free... yeaaaa beer: rock:

I actually came out of this movie dissapointed. The second was 'okay' at best in my book. I didn't like how his super cool weps didn't work and he resorted to using 'lights'. I thought that the roles of Abagail and King (Biel and Reynolds) took alot away from Blade. Apparently I heard that Snipes wasn't too happy with Blade hunting in a 'team' and rightfully so since he's a stone cold loner and ass kicker. It really had too much humor in it and I didn't much care for the actors. As much as actors hate it, they're typed cast unless they can act so well that they break that type casting shadow. (i.e. Tom 'The Man' Hanks) Condsidering that Reyonalds charecter in this movie was a goofy wise cracking joker, I kept thinking of 'Van Wilder' and just didn't like him. In some parts it was really too corny, like when Abagail listens to her MP3's....just stupid. Patton Oswalt from King Of Queens is in this movie and so is that slutty chick from American Pie...forgot her name. It would have been a ton better if they put in more Whistler and more Blade, instead of team nightstalkers or whatever gay name they came up with. Oh yea and the 'light bow' or whatever was the biggest rip off of a light saber to date...
Personally I'd mainly give it a 5/10 only because it had some sweet Blade ass kicking in the begging...a must see for the hardcore Blade fan but a rental for most others. nag: |
