Teeth Whitening

I was thinking about getting one of those "do it yourself" tooth whiteners from Wal-Mart or something. Does anyone have any information or experience with them? Which brand is good? Is there anything else I should try?

I've tried that tooth whitening toothpaste but that hasn't worked for me at all. I don't drink coffee or smoke so my teeth are horribly bad. I'd just like to get them a bit whiter.

how much did you pay for the kit? Are your teeth more sensitive now that you did the "procedure"?

Either pay 100 bucks for a dentist bleaching, or use the white strips. takes 3 treatments to get you the white result you want. If you keep up you brushing etc afterwards, it will last for anywhere to 6 months to 3 years.

take care of ur teeth. Mine are white, real white like those actors you see on tv, and I don't bleach my teeth........brush more.

It's just like how some people hardly brush their teeth and they never had a cavity in their life. I brush 2-3 times a day for about 3mins each brush and still get cavities.

Keep your mouth closed at all times, it'll save you a lot of money my hairy friend.

I'm thinking about getting one of those kits where you can make your own customizable tray to put the gel in. From the small amount of research I did, they seem to be pretty cheap ($15-20$) that will last a few months.

Careful. ^ Some of those chemicals can cause your gums to receed, causing more problems.

Ok, here's what i went through. I tried the "home kit"...didn't really work. What you need to do is have it done professionally by a dentist and keep up with it with the home kits. Don't over due it though because it makes your teeth and gums sensitive.

Also, i brush my teeth at least 3 times a day, sometimes 5. Dentist told me it's a lil' too much, i could wear down the finish on the teeth themselves and also my gums. I can't help it, i have this thing about oral hygeine.
