I just got this game for Xmas.What's the lastest patch for this game ? Anything else should I install on it ? Steam ?

Tell me about it, used to be a really fun game, then they started cunting around with the weapons till the boltactions became rail guns. Then the fun maps they fucked with them till they ended up being camp fests, "improvements" meant more nooks and crannys for homos to hide in.

i used to live on that game as well, but then steam crapped out on me, but avalanche was a good mayhem map. there were always campers on both sides with mgs so it took forever for one round to finish.

I never liked avalanche, imo that map was only included in the game because it was a map that valve made for the game. I played dod from beta 1.1-1.3b, then kinda tapered off in 2.0 after they added the mg-42 and the .30cal browning. Fun maps for me were oslo, italy, the old omaha with the ropes to climb, caen, koln and hill.

Was a more fun game when it wasn't geared towards being realistic and was just mayhem, then they added sprint gauges and other crap, just got boring and lost the fun factor by being slowed down too much imo.

charlie was the omaha if i can remember correctly. i remember they had added the bazooka, piat, and panzer in before i stopped playing . that also ruined the game cause those started to get whored alot

unless you camped in the water hehe. axis had a huge advantage in that map but it was still fun on either side.

Lol no this was loong before charlie, the omaha we had back in the beta 1.1 was a short beach with ropes to climb to get up the bluff, was simple but fun.
