Kinda figured out a new thing...

I was messing around and found a really cool way to make artsy looking pictures...

Here is an example...

Take an image like this...

And this...

And turn it in to this...

looks sweet gj!

Hawke 01-24-2005 07:32 AM

All looks good except the choppyness. rock:

Pyro 01-24-2005 07:52 AM

looks cool, but it was executed poorly with the choppyness

elstatec 01-24-2005 07:55 AM

its not that choppy, just the black outer ring is clear to see the edge and then the choppyness that would be hidden if it was a lighter colour.

not sure if this works or not but messing with cs sprays and using what i learned there i applied it to trans gifs. thats how i was able ( i think ) to makes those trans ones without chop the other day ... i cant really say for sure because im not sure if "alpha" channels are saved with gifs or applied when saved ...wtfever.

anywho. try this and see if you get rid of the chop. select the outer most shape ( circle in this case ) and switch to the channels palette. do select contract by 1 pixel ( or if 1 isnt enough .. you know ) then select feather by half of what you contracted... then fill the selection ( alpa channel ) with white.

from the cs sprays thing. make a new layer behind your image and fill it with a mid gray ( r:128, g:128, b:128 ). then save as gif with no matte.
