UT2004/Red Orchestra
Have any of you homos played [url=http://www.redorchestra.clanservers.com:2b89c]this[/url:2b89c] mod for UT2004? Any good? eek:
|
Yea played it for a little. Its ok, just a lot different then your avg fps. A lot harder to get used to because of no crosshair. Action is a little slower too. It was def one of the better mods for UT2004, that and Alien Swarm were good.

Aye I've played that, thought it was ok. |
Yeah got it installed, really slow paced action, no crosshairs on any weapon besides the scoped rifles, iron sights all round.
|
Really slow gameplay imo, really fun though..

i played red orchestra pretty hardcore until UO came out...i really enjoyed it. however, like gerard said its all iron sights, its kind of hard to tell when you killed someone too, it stresses realistic combat. the sounds in the game are easily the best in any ww2 fps ive played. if you have a nice sound card and speakers, crank it up!
definately give it a try. |
I played it a bit but fuicking quit because I kept getting punted saying I had an invalid cd key cuss: cuss:
I bought that fucker retail and even exchanged it. something to do with their auth not keeping up. |
Havent played it since the UT2003 days. It has been a longggg time.

Surprisingly good...i got a boner sheerly over the fucking sniper rifle scope...how many games have had it so the scope is magnified and the rest of the screen isnt? truly awesome shit.
Alsso probably one of the finest advertisements for the mapping capability of the Unreal engine out there...HUGE maps, heavily detailed that truly but even battlefield 1942 to shame in size AND detail. Just intense...however action and teamplay, i really find, lack a LOT, so be prepared for basically moving yard by yard towards your objectives while your teammates get plowed down... |
