Formatting
 

yo fellas..

how would i go about formatting a hard drive that is in use? becasue if i want to format c and reinstall windows xp, i cant it always says this disc is in use.
ive heard about boot discs before, but not really sure on what to do. any help?

Put the XP boot disk in. Boot to it. Go through the prompts to install windows. Choose format drive and install...

ive never actually formatted my computer...have no need to. i havent formatted this one since i got it (june). and i dont plan to anytime soon
