The wing sits above the air moving around the body so very fine adjustments to the downforce were possible. Outlawed by NASCAR the winged cars were gone by '71.

nice find. ONe of my neighbors has a Model A in perfect mint condition with origional parts. Ive only seen him drive it twice. And a person who lived up the road from me used to have a Mach 1. I dont know what happened to it.
Wish I could find something like those cars.

these old cars are selling for rediculously high prices. I still don't understand why some people don't sell them when their rotting in the back yard.

I had this site bookmarked for some time. When i'm in the mood to get all misty eyed and sad, i'll visit the site. There are some really nice cars out there just rotting away. This one hurts the most.

Damn, I only wish i had one of those sitting in my back yard. My dad and I would restore it (well, learn to restore it) in a heartbeat.

I have a friends with a ...get this...working Model A in his barn, well old sawmill.
