Ryder & High Contrast Tut.
These I made today using the idea that I was gonna use for Jin-Roh's new sig... thats why the different eye color thing was there....
Second Version: Now, most of the more experianced guys here know this very easy image trick, but I have not seen it done much with some of you guys that I don't know... so here's a quickie tut: Source pic: 1st. Place image into your sig and possition as you may like. 2nd. DeSaturate. We need it black & white. In PS (Image>Adjust>Hue&Saturation) Ctrl+U. Drag the saturation to the far left.(-100) 3rd. Adjust Contrast & Brightness. We want it brighter and in high Contrast. In PS (Image>Adjust>Brightness/Contrast) Adjust the brightness up till the background is clearly white. I did about +30. Adjust the contrast up till you get a very sharp and clear image. I did about +13. Done. Tips: 1. This trick works great to create the effect I used in both sigs, but each image is different, and the brightness and contrast will need to be adjusted differently depending on the colors and lighting of your image! 2. Use the sharpness tool to fine tune blushed or blured areas for a crisper contrast... thats this guy: This is a very easy trick, and you can easily whore this to death! 1000's of different uses. |
Let me add this too, for those who may not know:
To change the eye color: 1st. Create a new layer, and set it to Overlay. 2nd. Get a tiny brush, select your color, and zoom in very close to the eye...like this: Color away! But make sure you make it nice and clean. Erase as needed. Done. Final: |

Just installed PSP. How's this look for a first? |
The 'Tiberius' font is Augustus, the 'AD' font is Ceasar. Both can be found at Dafont.
Whatada, Not terrible considering it's in PSP...I know PSP doesnt have the options and tools that PS does. |

I say this because I've always used PSP and found it generally easier to deal with....and I like to think that my stuff would be at the same level as if I were using PS, which I'm pretty damn sure it is after being taught PS at uni.... |
