masks
could someone pls explain these fuking things to me ?
say i have a layer of solid color on top of a layer with a square shape and i want to exlude the shape from any changes made to the layer above ... how would i do this using masks? |
Mask the solid layer, then select the square layer with Ctrl + Click layer, then select the mask and press delete... i think that's what you're asking
|
I believe you just:
- Select the contents of the square layer (Just incase you didnt know somehow you hold control and click the layer tab...) Then select the solid color layer, then go to layer > add vector mask > mask selection. I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for, but w/e. edit: I think strv beat me |
I've read about them a dozen times and still don't get 'em. I hear they rock, but I don't use them.
