Great Political Novels, and Historical Books

Since my 18th b-day's coming up and I really have a small amount of good political novels. I was wondering if you could list some of the greatest political, historical novels you have ever read..so I can pick some of them up. I don't care if you list conservative novels because it's interesting to read right principles..anyways let the list begin.

Peoples
History of America by Howard Zinn

a must have, tells history through the people on the bottom

[quote:f43ae]Howard Zinn infuses the often-submerged voices of blacks, women, American Indians, war resisters, and poor laborers of all nationalities into this thorough narrative that spans American history from Christopher Columbus's arrival to an afterword on the Clinton presidency.[/quote:f43ae]
